⚠️ The one rule that matters
This is a wellness game, not a medical test. Always sit down. Never hyperventilate first, never test in or near water, while driving, or while standing. Stop immediately if dizzy. By using this site you agree to follow the safety rules below.
1. What this site is
BreathTestOnline.com provides a free online breath-hold timer, guided breathing exercises (box breathing, 4-7-8, diaphragm builder), and educational guides about breathing and lung capacity. No account is required and the core features are free.
2. Not medical advice
Nothing on this site — timers, tiers (Warming Up → Apnea Master), comparative estimates, charts, or guides — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Breath-hold time is a fun fitness benchmark, not a measure of lung capacity in liters and not a screening for any disease. Only a qualified clinician with proper equipment (e.g. spirometry) can assess your lung health. If you feel shortness of breath at rest, wheezing, chest pain, dizziness, or fainting, skip the test and seek care promptly.
3. Safety rules (binding)
By using the timer or trainer you agree that you will:
- Always sit down in a safe place, away from water, traffic, heights, and hard edges.
- Never hyperventilate (fast deep breathing) before holding your breath — it masks your urge to breathe and can cause blackout.
- Never practice in or near water (pool, bath, sea), while driving, swimming, or alone in risky settings.
- Stop immediately if dizzy, lightheaded, tingling, or nauseous — breathe normally and rest.
- Keep it gentle: one calm ~80% inhale per attempt, no extreme repetitions, no competition pressure. Children only with adult supervision, seated and gentle.
You assume full responsibility for how you use the exercises. If a clinician has advised you against breath-holding (e.g. pregnancy, heart or lung conditions, epilepsy), follow their advice over anything here.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the site for personal, non-commercial wellness and education.
- Don't abuse, disrupt, scrape aggressively, or attempt to break the site.
- Don't misrepresent results as medical certification of any kind.
- Don't submit unlawful, harmful, or spam content via contact.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, and interactive components are owned by us (or our licensors) and protected by applicable law. You may share links and screenshots of your own results for personal use. Don't copy substantial content or pass the site off as your own.
6. Results & third-party links
Tiers and comparative estimates are rough, fun approximations — not measured population data and not guarantees. Any external links are provided for convenience; we don't control or endorse third-party content.
7. Disclaimer & liability
The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the timer, exercises, or guides — including from ignoring the safety rules above. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these terms (and the site) at any time; the "Last updated" date will reflect changes and continued use means acceptance. Questions? See ourcontact page or emailhello@breathtestonline.com. Also see our privacy policy andabout page.
